Sound: Silent Films

Silent Films can be seen as very effective as the message of the film has to be displayed in ways other than spoken dialogue. The audience often rely on the music and the acting to understand the purpose and narrative behind and within the film. The use of silence can also encourage the audience to come to their own conclusion or feelings towards the film opposed to it being influence by the dialogue within the scenes.
